Our customer service is located in Prague so if your travel plans include Prague, we would love to meet you in person! Okay, by the time you get to this point, you will already have paid for your trip, but we still always like chatting face-to-face with the clients we've talked to on phone and by email.
The price of any potential trip is quoted for you as soon as you generate an itinerary through our trip builder or save one of our pre-created trips with your hotel and date preferences. However, this price can be further adjusted according to your customizations. Our consultants are skilled in calculating trips for any budget and will work with you to devise a trip that best suits your needs and preferences.
Your custom itinerary shows the cost of the package and lists all the activities included. Every trip varies according to client preference. Items always included in our packages are hotel nights, transportation between cities (rail, bus, shuttle), and scheduled guided walking tours & excursions. Examples of optional inclusions are breakfast, airport and rail station transfers, public transportation tickets, transportation on self-guided excursions, entry into selected attractions, and museum visits with a guide.
Generally, our trips never include lunch, dinner, tips, and entry to attractions that you can book online or purchase on site. We can advise you on these costs so you can estimate your total spending for the trip, or in some cases, book the tickets for you for an additional fee.
You can pay directly on our website or through an invoice issued by Stripe. If you are paying in US dollars, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Singaporean dollars, or New Zealand dollars, you can use your local currency. Otherwise, we set the trip price in US dollars.
You can pay for the trip from anywhere in the world so long as you have a credit card.
Once you confirm your trip with us we ask for a small non-refundable deposit, taken from your total trip cost. This is to compensate for our consultancy and booking management services, as well as the information we have gathered for your itinerary.
After this, we request the balance of your trip be paid before we finalize your itinerary. This balance is not due until 50 days before the date of your arrival, but clients who wish to do so may pay it earlier.
Your deposit covers travel consulting services already rendered and detailed travel information provided after payment, and as such is nonrefundable. However, deposits can be credited to a future trip in the case of cancellation.
The balance is refundable based upon the following schedule:
More than 50 days before your trip: Deposit is non-refundable. The balance payment is 100% refundable.
21-50 days before your trip: Deposit is non-refundable. The balance payment is 75% refundable.
11-20 days before your trip: Deposit is non-refundable. The balance payment is 25% refundable.
Within 10 days of your trip: Deposit and Balance are non-refundable.

If you do cancel a trip at short notice, be sure to inquire with your travel insurance company about which reasons for cancellation are covered under your policy's cancellation provisions.
Our full Itineraries are packed with all the details you need for your trip, and as a result, they can be very long. If you do not want to print your Full Itinerary, you can just save the PDF to a tablet or smartphone, although it can be difficult to read on a smaller mobile phone. You can rely on the Go Real Travel mobile app instead, although you should still print out your ticket booklet. This is especially important in case you run out of power or don't have a signal on your phone.
If you do print the itinerary, we suggest emailing both the Full Itinerary and the Ticket and Voucher Booklet as attachments to a local print shop such as a UPS store. Ask them to print the attachments and bind them into one combined document for you. Instruct them to print the itinerary double-sided to reduce the bulk, but please make sure they print the Ticket and Voucher Booklet one-sided. Each day you travel, you can just rip that day out of the itinerary so you do not have to carry around the full itinerary.

Yes, you do. Even if you do not print the Full Itinerary, you should still print the Ticket and Voucher Booklet as some train conductors and tour companies only accept paper tickets and vouchers. Also keep in mind that your phone can run out of batteries, or lose its signal. Having your tickets already printed on paper is a great backstop in case of unforeseen complications with your phone.
Before you travel, make sure your cellphone can make calls and connect to the internet while you are overseas. Having a working cellphone enhances your travel experience, and allows you to call Go Real Travel’s emergency line should any situation arise. In general, travel today requires a functioning cell phone that you can use even while roaming and not connected to wifi. We also highly encourage you to have a cell phone so you can use the Go Real Travel mobile app to access your itinerary.
The best way to optimize your cellphone for overseas use is simply talking to your provider. Most cellphone providers have international roaming services at very affordable rates. Tell your network provider about the regions and countries you intend to visit, and they should be able to suggest an international data and calling option that is best for you. Some providers let you keep the same rate you pay at home for data, texts, and minutes with a flat surplus fee for roaming. Others have a per day fee that allows you to use your phone exactly as you would at home.
Americans, in particular, should be aware their provider can lock their phone if it leaves the North American region. It is strongly recommended to check with your provider to ensure this does not happen.
eSIMs provide another convenient way to stay connected. If your phone is unlocked, you can easily download an eSIM plan from a local or international provider without needing a physical SIM card. This allows you to access local data rates and avoid roaming charges from your U.S. carrier. If your phone is locked by your carrier, you'll probably still need to rely on your existing provider's international roaming plans. Always check compatibility and coverage of the eSIM service in your travel destination before departure.
In almost all cases the answer is yes. Your phone will automatically pick up a network wherever you travel and function just like you are used to. There are a few exceptions though. In the US and Canada, older cellphones from Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Telus, and Bell rely on a technology that does not work in Europe or Asia. So if you have a several-year-old phone from one of these carriers, check with them to see whether your phone will work.
We recommend choosing a roaming plan with high-speed data - ideally 4G. The amount of data you need will depend on your estimated daily use. Remember, you’ll probably use slightly more data abroad than you do at home. If you are a light user, 3GB of data per month of travel should be plenty. However, if you’re someone who streams a lot of video or makes video calls while roaming, you may wish to consider 5GB or even 10GB packages. For call minutes, a good rate is $0.20 per minute or lower.
Purchasing a SIM card is generally less expensive than an international roaming plan. However, there are downsides. If you bought your phone through a carrier plan, it may need to be unlocked before it functions with another SIM card. Most carriers will refuse to do this unless you have already paid off the phone. Also, if you are traveling through several countries, it can be difficult to refill your SIM card once you leave the country of purchase.
Some countries require you to fill out a lot of paperwork or have a local address when purchasing a SIM card. One more disadvantage is that friends and families can't reach you on your regular number if your SIM card is no longer in your phone. Keep in mind though, that most phones can now accommodate more than one sim card, so you may be able to still answer your home phone - of course that results in paying those international fees that you were trying to avoid in the first place! For all these reasons, we recommend that our travelers first contact their carrier and explore an international plan. Keep in mind that after all the effort you go through, you may be saving less than $100 for something that is just going to make your life a little more complicated.
Another option of increasing popularity is purchasing an e-sim instead of a physical sim card. Many e-sim cards are set up specifically to accommodate international travelers. Again, you will need to check with your carrier though to determine whether this is possible with you phone.
If it has been released in your destinations, the Go Real Travel app will contain your itinerary, hotel reservations, transport tickets, tours, and more. Be sure to load it on to your phone before you depart.
We also suggest you download Google Maps and Google Translate. You can download both for free. Google Maps is a very useful tool for navigating around new cities. Google Translate lets you look up words in many different languages and instantly translate them into English. This especially comes in handy for reading menus, so you can understand all the delicious things to order.
ChatGPT is also great for translation, as well as some travel tips. But be careful, it tends to sometimes make up travel tips and give incorrect ones.
Yes, you definitely should purchase travel insurance for your trip. We cannot require you to purchase insurance, but as our liability release explains, Go Real Travel is not responsible for the costs of medical care, medical evacuation, trip cancellation, or trip interruption. If you choose not to purchase travel insurance, you are traveling at your own risk and Go Real Travel will not cover these costs for you. As we pay some of your travel costs in advance, we will also adhere strictly to our refund and cancellation terms.
Before traveling with us you should consider purchasing travel insurance through a third-party insurer to cover unexpected trip cancellation, interruption, and medical costs. We do not include extreme sports or dangerous activities in our itineraries, but that doesn't mean you can't trip walking down stairs or another unpredictable medical mishap. Cancellation coverage is also important as many things can derail trip plans, such as an illness or accident in the family, job loss, or a weather-related event. There are numerous other problems you may encounter on your trip, such as losing your baggage or important documents.
For American travelers, we suggest starting your search with Travel Guard, which is the industry standard. They offer affordable and comprehensive packages. Regardless of which insurance provider you select, it is critical to understand the terms of the policy and how they apply to your personal situation. Travel insurance is in our opinion a very worthwhile investment, but all insurance companies will avoid paying a settlement if the terms of the policy allow them to.
You should not purchase a policy covering the cost of the entire trip if you have not yet paid for it. While it may be more convenient to purchase a policy covering the whole trip upfront, it does not make financial sense. Just cover those costs you have already paid for. For instance, purchase an initial policy which covers only your deposit payment. Then once you purchase your flight tickets, adjust the policy to also cover the cost of the flights. Finally, when you pay your balance, adjust your policy again to cover the balance.
We suggest that you buy your coverage within 15 days of making any trip payment, as many insurers will only extend the full benefits of the policy in this case. Insurers often offer incentives and better terms when you purchase within 15 days. It is important to remember that this also applies to cases where you extend your coverage. Therefore, you should not only purchase within 15 days of making your deposit payment but also adjust your policy within 15 days of purchasing your flight tickets or paying your balance.

We aren’t able to add restaurant reservations directly into your itinerary. In practice, we also find it’s usually better not to book too far in advance. Travel plans often shift a little, and fixed restaurant bookings can get in the way of more important discoveries. Many travelers also prefer the freedom to choose where to dine once they’re on the ground, whether that means returning to a favorite spot, following a local recommendation, or exploring the dining scene in a neighborhood they’ve just fallen in love with.

While weekend dining sometimes requires reservations a few days ahead, in most cases you can book a day or two in advance — or even the same day — and still enjoy excellent options.

Go Real Travel Referral Program Rules & Guidelines
Welcome to the Go Real Travel Referral Program. By participating in the referral program and using our website, you agree to the following core terms:
1. Referral Program Eligibility & Credits
- Minimum Trip Value: To qualify for both the referral credit and the friend discount, the referred friend’s booked trip must have a minimum total value of $2,000.
- Earning Credits: The $200 referral credit is awarded to the referrer only after the referred friend has approved their custom Go Real Travel itinerary and paid their non-refundable deposit.
- Redemption & Expiration: Referral credits hold no cash value, are non-transferable, and may only be applied toward future Go Real Travel bookings. Referral credits expire 24 months from the date they are issued.
- Friend Discount: The $100 discount applies exclusively to the referred friend’s first booked itinerary with Go Real Travel and cannot be combined with other sales, discounts, or promotions.
- Program Integrity: Self-referrals, referring members of the same household, or creating fake accounts are strictly prohibited. Go Real Travel reserves the right to revoke credits, cancel bookings, or suspend accounts if fraud or abuse of the referral program is suspected.
2. Booking & Cancellation Policies
- Deposits: All initial trip deposits are strictly non-refundable upon receipt.
- Balance Payments: Balances are due 50 days before arrival. Cancellations made 50+ days prior receive a 100% balance refund; 21-50 days prior receive 75%; 11-20 days prior receive 25%; cancellations within 10 days of the trip are non-refundable.
- Party Adjustments: If a member of a travel party cancels or is added, the total pricing for the remaining travelers may be recalculated. Travelers are responsible for all resulting cost adjustments.
- Supplemental Price Increases: Travel arrangements are subject to supplemental price increases imposed by Suppliers and/or governments after you have completed your purchase.
- Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and travel accident insurance.
3. Liability & Supplier Disclaimer
Go Real Travel acts solely as a sales agent for airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel service providers (“Suppliers”). We are not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, or financial defaults of any Supplier, nor for any personal injury, property damage, delays, or issues arising from weather, health hazards, or force majeure events. You assume full responsibility for verifying and fulfilling all passport, visa, vaccination, and safety requirements for your destination.
4. General Terms of Use
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into binding agreements to use this website and our services.
